Frank James Malzone was born on February 28th, 1930 in Bronx, New York. Malzone was an MLB third baseman who played for the Boston Red Sox from 1955 to 1965. To this day, he is an all-time leader among third baseman with homers and RBI. After retiring as an athlete, he stayed involved with the Sox working both as a scout and player development consultant. In 1995, Malzone was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. He passed away in Needham, Massachusetts on December 29th, 2015 at the age of 85.
